Welcome to Our School

UN convention on the Rights of the Child.

At Lighthorne Heath Primary School, we recognise achievement in putting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of our practice to improve well-being and help all children realize their potential. Our school ethos reflects the principles of equality, dignity, respect, non-discrimination and participation. Children’s rights are learned, taught, practiced, respected, protected and promoted in our school.

Lighthorne Heath Primary School is a small village school for children aged 4 to 11 years old.  We are a very friendly, welcoming and caring school where children are encouraged to become confident learners, and to use and develop their abilities to achieve their potential. We provide a calm and happy atmosphere and set high standards of respect, courtesy, hard work and achievement for every member of our school community. The school's most recent Ofsted inspection was in September 2012.  Lighthorne Heath was judged to be 'good' with 'outstanding' Leadership & Management.

The school is also home to Lighthorne Heath Nursery which provides free nursery places during term time.  Sessions run from 8.55am ~ 12.00pm and children can join us at the beginning of the term after their third birthday.  The nursery has very strong links with the school and activities are planned to include all children.

Lighthorne Heath Primary School federated with Sydenham Primary School in September 2010 to form the Leamington Federation. The schools work together to provide a wide range of exciting learning opportunities for all children.  The federation has enabled us to broaden our expertise and share resources whilst retaining our uniqueness as a small community village school.

Please contact the school office to make a time to visit. We will be delighted to share our school with you.
